My Philosophy and background

I believe that when we engage with the unseen, archetypal realms, we have the capacity to understand ourselves better, thereby living more consciously.

In an astrology reading, we can see the patterns we’ve been playing out, often unconsciously, and seek to engage with them in more mindful ways, helping the archetypes to come alive for us and not just dominate us without any awareness. Similarly, with tarot, we can reconnect to our intuition as the cards reflect back to our worries, hopes, and unconscious drives, where we might be allowing one archetype to run the show, even when we believe we’re acting autonomously.

While I believe we all have free will, our life's blueprint shown in the birth chart indicates the main obstacles we will each face from our unique vantage point as individuals. The weaving of our fate is something that invites conscious engagement, not something that precludes it, and astrology offers a beautiful way to do that. As we engage with our psyches we can cultivate both agency and acceptance for the life that's right in front of us.

  • In a live virtual reading with me, we will hold space to co-create meaning through the symbols of the Tarot, allowing time to reflect and consider the situation and find clarity and certainty from a new perspective.

    After clarifying your query/intention I’ll pull 3-6 cards and together with my understanding of the symbols and stories, and your own intuitive wisdom, we will uncover new paths and perspectives for your issue.

  • In this year ahead forecasting reading, I will use a combination of timing techniques, including transits, profections, solar return chart and secondary progressions to paint an archetypal picture of the dynamics coming up for you in the year ahead. This is not for the purpose of predicting concrete eventualities but to align and alert you to the energies at play and to consider how best to meet the moment with consciousness and intention. Well suited to your birthday or the start of a new year, whenever is symbolically resonant for you, or when you feel called to look to the year ahead for a sense of purpose and guidance.

  • Through revealing the archetypes at work within your unique birth chart, we can uncover the main dynamics at play in your psyche and how they impact your choices, feelings and behaviour. Analysing your birth chart to help you better understand your unique life path, we can explore any blocks or issues creatively in communion with the stars, and find new ways of relating to the stories being woven by you with every thought and action you take.

  • I’m primarily a traditional Western astrologer, using the tropical zodiac and whole sign houses. I use traditional rulerships, but I do include the outer planets in my practice, and as a perpetual student my practice is continually growing and developing as I learn new skills and techniques.

  • No. While Tarot and Astrology can be used for prediction, that is not my interest or specialism.

    I don’t believe astrology, fate or life for that matter is something that happens ‘to’ us. I think it’s something that happens with us. The beauty of astrology and divination more broadly is that it gives us more ways of seeing and engaging with the energies and archetypes at play, so that we can make conscious choices rather than receiving an external dictum of our future.

  • Reading the cards through an archetypal lens allows us to find the answers to your questions from within, and looking at a birth chart archetypally enables us to relate the patterns in our lives with more conscious engagement. When we can uncover the archetypes that appear in tarot cards or astrological symbols, we can reflect on their presence in our lives and behaviour, meet unconscious needs in new ways and free up space and energy to make different choices.

  • Reading the cards archetypally empowers you, the querent, to discover your own inner wisdom and give you back your agency. In my practice, the cards mirror your unconscious, rather than revealing something from outside you, so when we pull cards we surrender to chance and trust in the synchronicity between the cards on the table and the truth inside you.

  • You may cancel your session free of charge up to 48 hours in advance of our scheduled appointment. After that, no refunds will be given; however, you may reschedule within 24 hours, subject to availability.

    I do understand that life happens, and in the case of an emergency cancellation, please contact me to discuss.

    If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, you will be considered a no-show. No-shows are not entitled to refunds.

About Me

I’m an astrologer and tarot reader based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Ever since I discovered astrology almost 10 years ago I’ve been a passionate student, learning from books, online courses, and practising wherever I can.

Like many people, I came to astrology at a time in my life when I was searching for meaning, guidance, and self-understanding. It gave me an insight into myself that I’ve been pursuing ever since, and its breadth and complexity continues to amaze me the deeper my learning takes me. Equally, the archetypes depicted in the cards are alive in everything, our relationships, the stories we read and the world around us, like an ever renewing source that offers more the more you engage.

When I'm not exploring the mystical through the stars and cards, I'm experimenting in the kitchen with everything from laminated patisserie and sourdough to decadent cakes, learning to make my own clothes and to crochet, journalling, painting, and any other crafts you can think of ! I also spend a LOT of time reading. The magic of books is what first woke that hunger in me for understanding, beauty and art. My esoteric practices are an extension of that commitment to understanding, and to honouring the sacredness of life in both the macro and the micro, the inner and the outer, above and below.
